For Men:

  • PSA – Prostate Specific Antigen- a protein only made in the prostate gland
  • DHEA-S – The hormone that is produced in the adrenal gland that causes the formation of male features and used to monitor treatment of drugs that influence DHEA production
  • Testosterone – The hormone that causes male characteristics- levels in the blood used to investigate sexual development / sexual dysfunction
  • IGF-1 Somatomedin C (SC) – Produced in the liver in response to stimulation caused by growth hormone secretion in the pituitary gland. The level of this “insulin-like” growth factor is used to evaluate disturbances of growth and to monitor treatment with growth hormones.
  • Vitamin B, 25-Hydroxy – An important vitamin in your system.
  • Cortisol – Inadequate amounts of cortisol, a hormone produced by the adrenal glands, can cause non-specific symptoms such as weight loss, muscle weakness, fatigue, low blood pressure and abdominal pain.

For Women:

  • IGF-1 Somatomedin C (SC) – Produced in the liver in response to stimulation caused by growth hormone secretion in the pituitary gland. The level of this “insulin-like” growth factor is used to evaluate disturbances of growth and to monitor treatment with growth hormones.
  • Estradiol (E2) – The most common form of estrogen in the body is Estradiol (E2).
  • Progesterone – Important for monitoring blood levels during infertility evaluations to confirm the presence of ovulation and to determine the effectiveness of ovulation induced by medications.
  • Vitamin B, 25-Hydroxy – An important vitamin in your system.
